Florida Man In An American Flag Speedo Does A Belly Flop In The Background Of Live News Report During Hurricane Debby

Someday I hope to be as unbothered as Florida Man. I don't know what's going on with the good folks down there in the Sunshine State, but not only do they have more fun than everybody else, but nothing seems to bother them. Massive alligators? That's just a swamp puppy. Man on bath salts trying to eat people's faces? That's just Florida Man. Hurricane coming through? Just a little rain. The state is currently dealing with Hurricane Debby, which made landfall on the Gulf Coast as it made its way across Florida and to the east coast. But while Debby, which is now a tropical storm, was dumping massive amounts of rain over the state, one Florida Man wasn't going to let a little rain ruin his day on the water. As Bay News 9 reporter Jason Lanning was giving an update from Crystal River, which is an hour or so north of Tampa, a shirtless man in the background wearing an American flag speedo decided to go for a swim and belly flopped off of his boat into the river.
Not the best form, but hey, he's having fun. Some in the comments thought the guy was going full birthday suit into the water, but according to the original poster (who apparently knows the man in the video), she confirmed that he was, in fact, wearing a speedo with the stars and stripes. Which is probably a good thing, because I'm sure that water's cold. Oh, and not only did we get the video from the live news report, we've also got a behind-the-scenes angle of it happening in real time: https://twitter.com/BeachFrmFL/status/1820224098691092798 We salute you, Florida Man. Keep living your best life.
