Florida high school football scores: Recap Week 3 of 2024 season

It's the first football Friday of September! And it was another great one in the 2024 Florida high school football season .

The Sunshine State hosted another batch of exciting matchups from Miami to Tampa, Orlando to Jacksonville (and yes, Tallahassee and the Panhandle, too!). Two-time reigning state champion Cocoa headed west to play IMG Academy . Two more teams with two straight state titles faced off in St. Thomas Aquinas vs. Columbus. And the two best teams in Class 7A met in Lakeland vs. Lake Mary.
