    Three Florida Cities Rank Among Nation’s Top 15 for Population Growth

    Cape Coral, Jacksonville and Port St. Lucie rank among the nation’s top fifteen cities for the highest percentage of growth. According to a new report for the US Census Bureau, Jacksonville scored two major feats, as it also ranked among the nation’s ten most populated cities. Jacksonville gained 14,066 residents, the fourth-highest percentage of growth, which elevated its population to 985,843, nearly 6,000 more residents than Austin, TX, for the #10 ranking. Cape Coral in Southwest Florida had a population increase of 7,540 people between July 2022 and July 2023. Cape Coral, Jacksonville and Port St. Lucie rank among the nation’s top fifteen cities for the highest percentage of growth.     Port St. Lucie gained 13,169 residents between 2022 and 2023, for a total population of about 239,000.
