Jolly Appointed Rome-Floyd County Commission on Children and Youth Director

The Rome-Floyd County Commission on Children and Youth announced the appointment of Jennifer Jolly as its new executive director on Tuesday.

Under Jolly’s leadership, the RFCCCY will continue its mission of improving conditions for children and families in Rome and Floyd County. The group is a county collaborative organization that works as part of the statewide Georgia Family Connection Partnership network. Jolly will provide planning, facilitation, communication and coordination of services for the partners participating in this work.

“Jennifer has extensive experience with leading transformative initiatives that have positively impacted children and families in Rome and Floyd County,” said Sarah Scarber, president of the board of directors. “Her passion for child welfare and community advocacy will undoubtedly propel RFCCCY’s efforts forward.”

Jolly has more than 18 years of experience in family and community services and family advocacy, with most of her time spent working with schools and nonprofit organizations in Rome and Floyd County.

Most recently, she served as the Trust-Based Relational Intervention coordinator for Rome City Schools. In this role, she orchestrated the implementation of TBRI initiatives across the school system with the goal of facilitating systemwide trauma informed and attachment aware changes.

Prior to joining Rome City Schools, she served as the director of outreach programs at the YMCA of Rome and Floyd County. Jolly is a TBRI practitioner and TBRI mentor and holds several academic degrees, including a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Counseling and a bachelor’s degree in Family and Community Services.
