Bridge connecting Folcroft to Darby Twp. reopens after two-year closure
After being closed for two years and resulting in traffic detours, repairs and construction, the Tribbett Ave. Bridge – or “County Bridge #237” – has re-opened. County and Darby Township officials, PennDOT representatives, engineers, residents, and U.S. Rep. Mary Gay Scanlon (D-5) came together Monday morning (July 1) to celebrate the event with a ceremonial ribbon-cutting. The bridge lies over Hermesprota Creek, between S. Clifton St. and Kaiser Drive, and connects Folcroft Borough and Darby Township. Deemed “in poor condition” several years ago, it was torn down and remodeled through the partnering of project design firm McCormick Taylor, and construction inspection firm, Traffic Planning and Design, overseen by PennDOT.

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Part of Oregon Avenue in Philadelphia was inaccessible Wednesday after a water main break, fire dispatchers confirmed.The street was closed between 24th Street and 21st Street due to water in the road Wednesday morning.
