Foley moves forward with plans to create entertainment district in historic downtown
FOLEY, Ala. (WPMI) — The entertainment district proposed for Foley could bring more business and activity to downtown without leading to problems with disruptive behavior. The Foley City Council approved a first reading of an ordinance to establish an entertainment district in the downtown area west of Alabama 59. The ordinance is scheduled for a final vote in August.
City of Foley plans indoor aquatic complex
FOLEY, Ala. (WPMI) — Foley residents will have a chance to provide input on plans for the city’s indoor-outdoor pool facility to be built in Max Griffin Park. The city will hold a public input meeting Tuesday, July 23 on the proposed Foley aquatics center. The meeting will start at 6 p.m. in the Foley Civic Center at 407 East Laurel Ave. The discussion will allow residents to comment on the project before the design of the center is completed.
