Airport High School's 2 Free Football Clinics draw more than 200 participants
West Columbia, SC 07/22/2024 - Airport High School’s two free summer football clinics drew more than 200 participants from the community to the campus this month. Both events – the Friday Night Lights Youth Camp and Moms Football Clinic – were coached by Airport Athletic Director and Football Coach Shane Fidler, along with his team of assistant coaches and Airport football players. All participants took to the field at Eagle Stadium.
Benedict alumni help HBCU break annual fundraising goal
Columbia, SC (WOLO) — Benedict College is celebrating a decade of giving. 42 of the 63 alumni clubs, from the college have surpassed their yearly fundraising goal which goes to support several hardworking Benedict students. School officials say they wanted to reach their goal of $1.5 million dollars, but eclipsed that amount by more than $200 thousand dollars for a total of $1,730,173.45 dollars.
