    April 15, 1944 – June 22, 2024 - David C. Low passed away peacefully on June 22, 2024, in Beaverton Oregon.

    Born in The Dalles, Oregon in April 1944. David was the youngest born to William and Pearl Low. He was raised and educated in Condon, Oregon, graduating in 1962. He participated in basketball and baseball where the team was co state champions his senior year. He was also the senior class president.

    He married Nancy in 1964, they settled in Forest Grove, Oregon in 1969 and raised their three children there. He was a member of the Jacees and The Elks club.

    He was a lifelong truck driver, who always enjoyed being behind the wheel of a truck. He was quick to point out the different features of trucks and why they were needed. He worked for Garrett trucking, Haney trucking and Payless. He retired from Rite Aid (formerly Payless) as a dispatcher.

    David was an avid golfer and in retirement golfed multiple days a week. He enjoyed wintering in Arizona, completing the daily crossword puzzle and traveling. He loved a good joke, a cold beer, a friendly poker game and would talk to anyone that would stop for a story.

    David was preceded in death by his parents and his older brother Peter Low.

    He is survived by his wife of 60 years Nancy of King City, Oregon; his children William (Jennie) of Canton, Ohio, Angie (Kevin) of North Plains, Oregon, and Stacey (Spencer) of Hillsboro, Oregon; 7 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren with a 7th on the way.

    We will have a celebration of life on Thursday September 5 at the Forest Grove Elks from 3:30-5:30.
