Smoke fills Delta Lake Inn during small fire Sunday
ROME — The Delta Lake Inn became filled with smoke after rags caught fire while the restaurant was closed Sunday afternoon, according to the Rome Fire Department. “It was some rags that were used for painting or cleaning,” explained Rome Fire Chief David Gratch. The rags were in a storage or laundry room at the restaurant on Fish Hatchery Road and they somehow caught on fire, he stated. The cause of that fire is under investigation.
