SACRAMENTO – Governor Gavin Newsom today announced the following appointments:. Melany Acosta-Parra, of Kerman, has been appointed to the California Youth Empowerment Commission. Acosta-Parra has been a Recreation Leader for the City of Kerman Parks and Recreation Department since 2021. She served on the Kerman Youth Commission from 2021 to 2024.
