Hattiesburg-Laurel Regional Airport celebrates its 50th birthday
JONES COUNTY, Miss. (WDAM) - Leaders in Jones and Forrest counties gathered Tuesday morning for a special birthday party for the Hattiesburg-Laurel Regional Airport. It opened on July 1, 1974. PIB has provided commercial, charter and private air service to hundreds of thousands of people over the last five decades.

Work continues on River Avenue Bridge
PINE BELT, Miss. (WDAM) - The endgame is underway at the site of River Avenue Bridge, as crews continue to put the finishing touches on the project. Friday, the Forrest County Board of Supervisors posted on its Facebook page an update of the work done this on the long-term project that spans the Leaf River between Hattiesburg and Petal.
