Website ranks 3 South Georgia colleges in top 10 best nursing schools in Georgia
ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - Out of 61 nursing schools in the state, three South Georgia nursing schools ranked in the top 10 for 2024, according to RNCareers.org. Georgia Southwestern State University ranked 5th out of the “Best Nursing Schools in Georgia in 2024.″ They offer programs in Accelerated BSN, Bachelor, LPN to BSN, MSN.
A summer of scams | Georgia named top state for fraud in the United States
HOUSTON COUNTY, Ga. — Georgia has been identified as the top state for fraud, according to a recent study by Bader Scott injury lawyers. The study, based on data from the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) between April 2023 and March 2024, revealed that Georgia reported more than 177,000 fraud cases. This equates to 1,605 cases per 100,000 residents, a rate 62% higher than the national average.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Storms have been active through the afternoon, however they will dwindle through the evening. Scattered storms from the afternoon will taper off as the sun sets. While a couple of storms or showers may linger into tonight, they shouldn’t be very strong. Overnight will be partly cloudy with low temperatures in the low to mid 70s. Some fog will be possible overnight following the rain from this afternoon and evening. Ambient wind will be gentle once again out of the west-southwest.

MACON, Ga. — Junior Journalist selections are in full swing. 13WMAZ held open auditions in June and July on-camera interviews with finalists last week.
