    Forsyth man killed, five others injured in crash near Bull Creek

    TANEY COUNTY, Mo. — A crash near Bull Creek on Highway F in Taney County has killed one and injured five others.

    According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP), the crash happened around 6:17 p.m. on July 3.

    A westbound Ford F550 lost control, according to MSHP, and crossed the center line of Highway F. The truck hit the left side of a GMC Envoy before hitting the front end of a van.

    The driver of the van, 45-year-old Jared A. Thrapp of Forsyth, died at the scene of the crash. There were two other passengers in the van – a 38-year-old woman and a seven-year-old boy – who were taken to a Springfield hospital with injuries, MSHP said.

    In addition to the driver, there were two girls in the GMC aged 17 and 7, according to MSHP. All three were taken to a hospital in Branson.

    This is the 48th fatality of 2024 for MSHP Troop D.
