Massive solar farm planned for coal mine site in eastern Kentucky
A massive solar farm is in the works at the site of one of the largest coal mines in southern Appalachia. BrightNight, the developer behind the planned farm at the decades-old Starfire coal mine near Hazard, Kentucky, says the project could help reinvigorate a region where thousands of mining jobs have been lost. LMPD says 2 people taken to hospital after shooting outside Old Louisville business
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - A local man, who works to prevent violence in the city, became a witness to a double shooting outside an Old Louisville business Monday morning. Marcus Poyntz is the supervisor at Cure Violence Program YouthBuild. He was sitting at a stop light across the street when gunshots were fired. He told WAVE News he looked to his left and saw a man coming out of the store with a gun, shooting at a car in the parking lot.
