Who is Behind the Mysterious Monolith That’s Appeared in Northern Colorado?

A highly reflective man-sized rectangular monolith has popped up in Northern Colorado and there is no explanation for its existence thus far.

Knewz.com has learned that the owner whose land it is currently standing on is also unsure of its origins.

Lori Graves who owns the land where the mystical object now stands has since indicated that said monolith is already becoming famous.

“It was Sunday morning when someone came into the cafe and said, ‘Where is the monolith? Where is the alien monolith?’” Graves, who also owns the nearby Howling Cow Cafe, told KDVR News .

“I have ideas, but I almost don’t want to ruin the mystery around it. I’m not going to ask people.”

One netizen who posted the image to Reddit shared their ideas on the matter:

“So I went to the alien structure, and asked around,” they wrote. “Apparently the story is, one of the homeowners in the area believes in aliens, and conspiracies ; so his neighbor decided to build one, and set it up on the hill, to mess with him. Sadly nothing out of this world.”

The update opened up a can of worms and one commenter wrote: “Just the kind of explanation an alien conspirator would have in their back pocket, ready to cover over the evidence of their landing site.”

“I'm sure they took [the] body panel, a hood, and the rest of the cyber truck to make one,” suggested another as a nod to the resemblance in color.

The monolith is not the first in recent years. The last time one made it into the news was around June 15 and 16 when it appeared on an elevated piece of land called Gas Peak in the Las Vegas Valley.

Las Vegas police claim that they are not investigating the nearby appearance of a monolith. By: Facebook/LVMPD

It was not long before it caught the attention of the Las Vegas Metro Police Department (LVMPD) who removed it. Thereafter, the law-enforcement office released a notice describing it as a “reflective sheet metal folded into a triangle and secured with rebar and concrete,” on Facebook .

“It remains unknown how the item got to its location or who might be responsible,” it continued to say and noted that “there was no LVMPD investigation into the object or the circumstances surrounding its existence.”

Another monolith appeared in Utah in November. The anomaly was spotted from the air during a patrol by the Utah Department of Public Safety Aero Bureau, who were stumped by what they saw.

ABC4 News quoted a statement by the agency, saying: “It is illegal to install structures or art without authorization on federally managed lands, no matter what planet you’re from.”

These objects are not limited to the United States. BBC News reported a “gleaming, silver structure was spotted by walkers on Hay Bluff, near the town of Hay-on-Wye.”

According to the British network, this monolith was three feet in height and “perfectly sturdy” despite the windy conditions at the time of its sighting. Like with those in the U.S. , there has been no explanation for its existence, causing local speculation about extraterrestrial activity.
