Eat like an Olympian: Chipotle adds Northern Colorado soccer star's go-to order to menu

A popular nationwide burrito chain will be featuring a Northern Colorado Olympian's go-to menu item ahead of her trip to the Paris Olympics this summer.

Chipotle announced Tuesday it is teaming up with Windsor native Sophia Smith to feature her favorite burrito order as a menu item "to fuel her journey to Paris this summer" as a member of the United States 2024 Olympics women's soccer team.

If you want to eat like an Olympian and order Smith's burrito, you'll get: chicken, brown rice, light black beans, fresh tomato salsa, tomatillo-red chili salsa, roasted chili-corn salsa, sour cream and cheese.

Smith's burrito order will be featured as a digital menu item on the Chipotle app and website for a limited time, according to Tuesday's news release.

To promote Chipotle and Smith's collaboration, Smith's fiancé, Michael Wilson, hosted an interview of Smith for Chipotle's "Unwrapped" video series on Chipotle's Instagram.

Smith — the Fossil Ridge High School graduate who currently plays for the Portland Thorns in the National Women's Soccer League — was named to the U.S. 2024 Olympics women's soccer team last week.
