Fort Collins' Dunkin' Donuts is closed for now. Here's why

Dunkin' Donuts in Fort Collins is closed, but not permanently.

The Fort Collins store, 2801 S. College Ave., has been closed since the beginning of July. A sign on the door says it's working on a remodel, and papered-up windows conceal the work going on inside.

The sign didn't indicate a reopening date, and the Coloradoan has been unable to contact the current owners.

A building permit report from the city of Fort Collins indicates the remodel will include a redesign of front service, drive-thru and kitchen areas, a bathroom relocation and an exterior finish update.

The store opened in Fort Collins in 2014.

Until the Fort Collins spot reopens, if your coffee and donuts have to be Dunkin', then you'll have to travel to Loveland to find the next closest store.
