Willow Street just east of College Avenue in north Fort Collins will be impassable for a week so the railroad tracks can be replaced by Great Western Railway.

The closure will be from Monday, July 29, to Monday, July 5, weather permitting, according to a news release from the city of Fort Collins.

Great Western is in charge of the project.

During the week, Willow will be closed to all traffic, including bicyclists and pedestrians, at the railroad crossing.

To access a location west of the crossing, approach from College. To access a location east of the crossing, approach from Linden Street.

Transfort bus routes 8 and 81, which travel on Willow, will be modified. Check the Transfort website for detour maps and more information.

Working hours are expected to be 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, but work might occur outside of those hours to expedite the project, the city said in its news release.
