Colorado State's Jacob Gardner and Colorado's B.J. Green were named to the Outland Trophy watch list Tuesday.

The list recognized 75 players in the running for an award that goes to the best interior lineman in college football.

An offensive lineman from California, Gardner was a preseason All-Mountain West selection who earned second-team honors last season. The graduate student has started all 45 games in his college career, the most among current Mountain West players.

Green, a defensive end, transferred to CU after three seasons at Arizona State. The Georgia native had 60 tackles, 21 for a loss and 13.5 sacks for the Sun Devils. Green was the seventh-ranked transfer in the portal, according to 247Sports.

The Outland Trophy semifinalists will be named Nov. 20.

Recent Outland winners include NFL stars T'Vondre Sweat (Texas), Penei Sewell (Oregon), Quinnen Williams (Alabama) and Aaron Donald (Pittsburgh).
