No single-game tickets available for Colorado football at Colorado State

Single-game tickets for the 2024 Rocky Mountain Showdown will not be sold.

Colorado State announced Thursday that due to high demand, single-game tickets won't be available when the Rams host rival Colorado on Sept. 14 (5:30 p.m., CBS).

Tickets for the game are available via season tickets or three-game mini plans .

A news release from CSU said standing-room tickets "will likely be available, details will be provided at a later date."

CSU students get tickets as part of student fees, and CSU has said that those tickets will be available to claim beginning Aug. 14 .

Canvas Stadium has a seated capacity of 36,500 but at the time of its opening was said to go up to 41,000 including standing-room only. The largest crowd in stadium history is 37,583 for the stadium opener against Oregon State in 2017. The Showdown is expected to be sold out and could be a record crowd depending on number of standing-room tickets sold.

Secondary market ticket prices expected to be high

Tickets for the first Rocky Mountain Showdown in Fort Collins since 1996 are expected to be priced high on the secondary market.

A look at options as of Aug. 1:

• SeatGeek: The cheapest ticket is $206 in the upper northeast corner. The most expensive seats are more than $600.
• StubHub: The cheapest ticket is $176 in the southeast corner. There's one listing of more than $900.
• Ticketmaster: The cheapest ticket is $211. The most expensive is more than $600.
