COLUMBIA COUNTY, Ga. (WJBF) – Columbia County District Attorney, Bobby Christine, is asking the public to help keep a convicted serial rapist behind bars.

In 1986, Willie Johnson brutally raped three women whose husbands were on duty at then Fort Gordon.

He was sentenced to five consecutive years of life in prison plus 40 years.

The Georgia Board of Pardons and Paroles has voted to grant a tentative clemency release.

In January 2022, Chief Assistant DA Natalie Paine, wrote a similar letter to the parole board. ( We want to warn you this letter contains graphic material. )

DA Christine is petitioning for this NOT to happen and asking citizens to contact the parole board.
