Cody in line to land state shooting complex
POWELL — As the State of Wyoming moves forward with plans to build a world-class shooting facility, a panel is recommending that the complex be built in Cody. Following months of proposals, pitches and site visits, a task force voted 8-4 to favor a chunk of state land south of Cody over a competing spot near the Campbell County Cam-plex in Gillette.
City of Gillette Animal Shelter seeking foster homes for kittens
GILLETTE, Wyo. — The City of Gillette Animal Shelter is inundated with kittens, and it’s reaching out to the community to help them find forever homes. The shelter put out a call for help in a Facebook post on Monday, saying it is in desperate need of foster homes for multiple groups of young kittens. Several previous foster homes are currently not able to take pets, the shelter said, increasing the foster need for both dogs and cats.
