Commissioners Discuss Gorilla Waste Solutions

CHEYENNE – Action and community service are two things that many organizations all over Wyoming stand for. The Wyoming Nonprofit Network has created a program called WyoGives that accentuates these traits through a 24-hour day of giving once a year in July. Wyoming lawmakers divided on AI governance, may draft second bill tailored to election campaigns
CHEYENNE – Lawmakers seemed divided this week over how to legislate AI governance in Wyoming, with some committee members arguing that overly broad legislation will impede on First Amendment rights of free speech. Members of the Legislature’s Select Committee on Blockchain, Financial Technology and Digital Innovation Technology continued discussion from their May meeting on Senate File 51, “Unlawful dissemination of misleading synthetic media.” The bill was drafted last interim and made it halfway through the 2024 budget session before dying in the House of Representatives. ...
Increased Fire Danger Concerns for Saturday
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - While the weekend does not look to be too bad, we could see some increased fire danger concerns across parts of Wyoming. A Fire Weather Watch is in effect from Saturday Afternoon through Saturday Evening through portions of Central and South Central Wyoming, including Casper to Riverton and from Laramie to Rawlins. The combination of relative humidity down to 10%, along with wind gusts to 30 mph will result in critical fire weather conditions to develop.
Scattered Showers and Storms for the Weekend, Drying Out Next Week
RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA) - Overnight, temperatures will likely fall into the 50s and a few spots in the 40s for low temperatures. mostly clear skies settle in, but we do have the possibility of some isolated showers after midnight. Tomorrow, some scattered showers will form and we could see a few containing some rumbles of thunder. High temperatures in Rapid City getting up to around 79°. Future cast is showing that we do have the chance for some isolated showers tonight that become scattered tomorrow. But our best day for showers and storms comes on Sunday. Good news is by Monday. We start to completely dry out across all of western South Dakota. Throughout the overnight hours, temperatures drop into the 40s and 50s and we do see mostly clear skies. We still can’t rule out the possibility of a few isolated showers or storms. Tomorrow, temperatures make it into the 70s and 80s across kota territory. We will see scattered showers start to form around lunchtime, but the storms could contain a few rumbles of thunder here and there. The next three days in Northeast Wyoming and the northern Hills shows that we are going to see drier conditions in Wyoming, but some more chances in the hills for some showers and storms. Rapid City through the weekend Seese shower and storm chances continue but by Monday, those chances decrease to zero. For next week, the drier conditions allow for the temperatures to quickly increase into the upper 80s by Wednesday. By Thursday and Friday 90s are looking likely for Rapid City.
