    Fort Wayne FC shuts out Michiana FC in final friendly

    FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – With the regular season about to wrap up, Fort Wayne FC passed one last tune-up test in a 3-0 win in Thursday’s friendly against Michiana FC.

    Brandon Bermingham struck in the 31st minute, giving Fort Wayne FC a 1-0 lead at halftime.

    Fort Wayne FC had ample opportunities to add onto their lead in the second half. Chris Bley finally doubled the lead with a goal in the 85th minute. Two minutes later, Thomas Lamaille headed in his first goal of the season to cap off a 3-0 win for the boys in blue.

    Fort Wayne FC now turns their attention to Cleveland Force SC. With a win on Sunday, the team clinches their second straight USL 2 Valley Division title. Kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m. Sunday at Bishop D’Arcy Stadium.
