FLINT, Mich. (WANE) – Fort Wayne FC’s season ended in heartbreak at the hands of Flint City Bucks for a second straight season. Despite playing with nine men, Flint City scored the eventual game-winning goal late in extra time to win, 2-1, and advance to the USL 2 Central Conference championship.

Fort Wayne conceded an early goal before finding an equalizer in the 37th minute. Chris Bley buried a second chance ball to knot the match up at 1-1 before halftime.

Neither side found the back of the net in the second half. However, a skirmish between both sides resulted in Flint City being presented with a red card. Fort Wayne couldn’t take advantage before the end of regulation, resulting in extra time for a second straight match.

Flint City was presented with another red card midway through extra time, being down to nine men for the remainder of the match. However, Baraka Tarleton tapped in the game-winning goal in the 115th minute on a header.

Fort Wayne FC ends their season with a 9-3-2 record.
