Cooks Children’s Health Care System in Fort Worth was determined by Forbes as the No. 5 best employer in Texas .

Forbes compiled a list that includes every state and answers the question, “Which organizations are doing what it takes to retain their employees and keep them satisfied?”

They compiled their data with Statista by surveying 160,000 employees from all 50 states and Washington D.C. in companies with at least 500 members.

Cooks Children’s is a non-profit organization with over 60 primary, specialty and urgent care offices throughout the state. “At Cook Children’s, we believe that childhood should be simple. But when things get complicated, we also believe that every child has the right to the very best care possible,” a statement on its website says.

They were also ranked No. 90 on Forbes 2024 list of best employers for women.

The only other company on the Texas list with headquarters in Fort Worth is No. 101, GM Financial. It was founded in 1992 and now has 9,000 employees.
