Where to get some sweet popsicle relief in Fort Worth

Hey, Fort Worthians — looking for some popsicles? We’re here for you.

Previously, we rounded up 15 local snow cone stands, and now to celebrate National Freezer Pop Day on Monday, July 8, we’re directing you to some quality popsicles around town.

If you’ve been here a few years, you may remember that Steel City Pops used to be the popsicle game around Cowtown, but the company closed most of its DFW locations between 2019 and 2022. Never fear, though, we wouldn’t turn a cold shoulder on frozen treats.

Frio’s Gourmet Pops | Multiple locations
Frio’s, a catering + popsicle truck, is available for events all over Fort Worth. The vendor offers a host of year-round flavors, including strawberry mango + key lime pie, and some “Rotating Rhondas” with seasonal availability, such as pickle and juicy orange.

Helados El Sol | 2418 NE 28th St.
The no- and low-sugar popsicles are all made in-house. Pro tip: Grab dinner at the nearby Thai-Laotian restaurant Sikhay , get the scallion pancakes + fried rice, and then head to Helados for dessert.

Paleteria Papis | 3318 E. Belknap St., Ste. 100
Sample a smattering of flavors, including sandia, chamoy, guayaba, and fresa. Pro tip: T his is around the corner from Race Street , so as you stroll around with yoursandia popsicle, you can find lots of things to do .

Michoacana Creamery | 2727 8th Ave.
The business offers a chamoyada popsicle, as well as $2.75 choco bananas, which are essentially banana popsicles dipped in chocolate.

Hip Pop | 525 S. Main St., Grapevine
Head northeast for 23 popsicle flavors, including Cap’N’Crunch.
