Rory Feek Marries Daughter’s Teacher 8 Years After Wife’s Tragic Death
Rory Feek has remarried eight years after the tragic death of his wife, Joey. The 59-year-old country singer shared news of his marriage to Rebecca in a touching blog post he aptly titled, “The Wedding Singer.” The newly married couple were wed on July 14, “under a beautiful timber-frame pavilion” in Greycliff, Montana. Rory and Joey’s 10-year-old daughter, Indiana, even played matchmaker for her dad and his new wife. “Indiana only saw Rebecca as ‘Miss Rebecca’ her schoolteacher and our friend,” Feek wrote. “And although she had become much more than that to me, I was very careful to let Indy ‘figure it out’ on her own.”

Sitting on a sit water ski in Echo Lake, Erik Barnes yells “Hit it!” Quickly he’s carving through the wake behind the boat, at one point hitting a wave and jumping three feet before tumbling into the water. Spokane pushes for public safety tax increase after eyeing $9M cut to police
(The Center Square) – The City of Spokane’s elected officials approved Mayor Lisa Brown’s Community Safety Sales Tax on Monday night, sending it to the ballot for voters to decide in November. Brown proposed the one-tenth of 1% sales tax increase earlier this month in an effort to plug some of the city’s approximately $50 million deficit. The mayor previously pushed for another much larger property tax but pulled the measure, in part because the city council said it didn't have enough information about the...
In Washington state, Inslee's final months aimed at staving off repeal of landmark climate law
SILVERDALE, Wash. (AP) — Standing at a transit center near four new wireless bus charging stations in a small community west of Seattle, Gov. Jay Inslee told transit and city leaders where money to pay for them — more than $1 million — came from. “It’s possible only because of the Climate Commitment Act,” Inslee said, citing a program that works to cut pollution while raising money for investments that address climate change. “That was the source. It’s the only way we’re able to do this.” Inslee made similar remarks as he visited a salmon habitat restoration project and then...
