Miller Found Dead Following Amherst Standoff
AMHERST, WI (WSAU) — The subject of a lengthy standoff that led to a shelter-in-place order in Amherst has been found dead. Portage County Sheriff Mike Lukas says 32-year-old Jeffery Miller was deceased inside the Amherst home where he had been barricaded for nearly 24 hours.
