DIAMOND, Mo. — The school year is almost over, and seniors are still making that big decision on where they’ll continue their athletic careers. Thursday afternoon, one Diamond Wildcat made his decision.

A signing ceremony was held for Peyton Marbough as he signed to further his baseball career at Missouri State University-West Plains. Marbough says he’s been working toward this goal since the age of six. Now, to finally sign on the dotted line is a dream come true.

Marbough explained just what this day meant to him.

Marbough said, “Peyton Marbough said, “It’s something I’ve worked on my whole life since I was six years old. I’ve known I want to go play college baseball and it’s put a lot of hours of work and hitting and just like working out a lot and making myself better as a person and as a player as my skill level has progressed over the years. So.”

Marbough says he plans to get his general studies and attend a four-year school where he will major in physical therapy.
