High heat, humidity sticking around the Mid-South this weekend, despite potential storms

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Good Saturday Morning,

After morning showers finish moving out expect another hot and humid day across the majority of the Mid-South. Most of the area is under a Heat Alert-either a Heat Advisory feeling closer to 105° with areas in the delta feeling closer to 110° and subsequently under an Excessive Heat Warning.

Isolated showers at best at this point today with another isolated chance tomorrow when a mainly dry cold front will move through. Next week is super nice, comfortable and more fall like with lower temperatures and humidity. We begin to heat back up after this cool Canadian air moves out closer to the weekend. Sunday will not be as hot with a chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly in the morning.
