‘She’s stuck at 17’ Garland County family pleads for justice nearly 30 years after double homicide

GARLAND COUNTY, Ark. – It’s a case that’s been cold for nearly 30 years, but a family in Garland County continues to plead for answers after their loved one was killed.

Tynisha Hudson said her sister 17-year-old Teela Hudson was shot and killed more than two decades ago and her case has never been solved.

On Aug. 31, 1997, Hudson along with 20-year-old Frank Delaney were shot and their bodies were found in his car near Bald Mountain Road and Hayti Lane.

“Even though it happened 27 years ago, it’s like it was yesterday,” Tynisha Hudson said. “She and Frank, her boyfriend, were found on the side of the street. She had been shot in the forehead, her jaw was broken, both of her arms were broken.”

Hudson said they have many unanswered questions like who was responsible and why they did it. She said it hurts not having closure.

“I know somebody knows but they just won’t talk,” Hudson said. “I know it’s eating at them and I’m asking you from the bottom of my heart please come forward.”

She said she will continue sharing Teela Hudson’s name every year, hoping someone will finally give them justice.

“My family has grown up, we have got married, had kids and she (Teela Hudson) is stuck at 17 years old,” Hudson said. “She may be just a statistic to some people but she’s my sister, our family member and she didn’t deserve what happened to her.”
