A tornado warning is in effect for Calhoun county until 8:30 p.m. tonight. This is a confirmed tornado.
6:20 p.m. update:
A tornado warning is in effect for Calhoun county until 7:15 p.m.
The Kalamazoo County Sheriff's Office reports a tornado was spotted in Portage.
6 p.m. update:
A large tornado has been confirmed in Kalamazoo County. There is no confirmed touchdown of a tornado in any part of West Michigan.
Another tornado has been confirmed near Coldwater.
Kalamazoo County is under a Tornado Warning until 6:45 p.m.
St. Joseph County is under a Tornado Warning until 6:30 p.m.
Van Buren County is under a Tornado Warning until 6:45 p.m.
Branch County is under a Tornado Warning until 6:30 p.m.

A tornado has been confirmed just north of Decatur in Van Buren County. The cell is moving northeast. People living near Lawton, Paw Paw, Mattawan, and Gobles are encouraged to seek shelter now.
A Severe Thunderstorm Warning is in effect for Allegan and Van Buren counties until 6:15 p.m. Tuesday due to the possibility of damaging wind gusts and hail. Wind gusts up to 60 mph and quarter size hail are possible.

A Tornado Warning was issued for a large part of St. Joseph County, lasting until 6:30 p.m. including Constantine, Centreville, Colon, Sturgis, and Burr Oak.
The National Weather Service issued a Tornado Watch for counties along and south of I-96 in West Michigan.
Just before 4:30 p.m. the National Weather Service issued a Tornado Warning for southern Berrien County.
Just after 4:45 p.m. a severe thunderstorm warning was issued for Van Buren and Allegan Counties.
