    St. Louis County police investigate Friday night fatal hit-and-run

    ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. – A passing vehicle struck and killed a Valley Park woman while she was walking along a road in west St. Louis County.

    According to a St. Louis County Police Department spokesperson, the crash happened shortly before 10:30 p.m. on Friday, August 23, near the intersection of Meramec Station Road and Crescent Avenue.

    Officers arrived at the scene and found a woman, identified as Julisa Cannon, who’d been critically injured. Cannon was rushed to a local hospital, where she was pronounced dead. She was 31.

    Investigators learned Cannon was walking eastbound on Meramec Station Road when she was struck.

    The department’s Bureau of Crimes Against Persons is investigating the crash.
