    Quapaw Public Schools delays first day of school due to storm damage

    QUAPAW, Okla. — Storm damage forced Quapaw Public Schools to delay the first day of school by one week.

    The district said school will now start on Aug. 26 after storms Friday night damaged the elementary school and the community.

    The district said there will be no professional development the week of Aug. 19 and open house will be rescheduled for another day.
