City court dates scheduled for September postponed in Muskogee

MUSKOGEE, Okla. — In Muskogee, city court dates scheduled for September are postponed due to the previous judge being appointed to serve as a judge for the Muscogee Nation District Court.

Until a new municipal judge is appointed, an alternate judge will conduct daily in-custody arraignments.

As a reminder, this only applies to city court and the City said if you had a date scheduled for this month, you should have received a letter with a new date.

If you do not receive a letter, you can call 918-680-3173 to reschedule.

You can read the full statement the City sent to FOX23 below.

“Today, we are congratulating Judge Toni Bradley Smith following her appointment to serve as a Judge for the Muscogee (Creek) Nation District Court. During the interim, trials will be postponed and an alternate judge will be conducting daily in-custody arraignments until Mayor Cale and the Council appoint a new Municipal Judge.

We are thrilled for Judge Smith, and we wish her well in her new role.”
