Original Power Ranger, Walter Jones, in San Diego County for signing events Memorial Day weekend

SAN DIEGO ( FOX 5/KUSI ) — Walter E. Jones , the original Black Ranger from Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers, is in San Diego County over Memorial Day weekend for meet-and-greets and autograph signing events.

The actor, martial artist, singer and dancer, known for playing Zack Taylor, the original Black Ranger on the 1993 television series “Mighty Morphin Power Rangers,” was at the NinjaXChange Collectible Expo in Carlsbad on Saturday signing autographs and taking photos with fans.

On Sunday, Jones will be at Stacked Pax at Plaza Bonita in National City from noon to 3 p.m. for another signing event, with special guest Paul Shrier aka “BULK.”

Jones was in the KUSI studio Saturday morning with more on his audition to become a Power Ranger and his martial arts background, and to show us some moves. Watch in the video above.

Jones’ next appearance, according to his Instagram , will be at Iron City Comic Con in Birmingham, Alabama from June 1-2.
