    Man stabbed during group fight with security at Logan Heights hookah lounge: police

    SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — Police are investigating after a group of people were involved in a fight at a Logan Heights hookah lounge and a man ended up with stab wounds.

    The San Diego Police Department reports the stabbing happened early Saturday at 5:30 a.m. during a fight between a large group of people and security at the Secret Yard hookah lounge on Imperial Avenue in Logan Heights.

    According to the police department, a 29-year-old reportedly joined the fight and was stabbed in the upper body, then dropped off at Sharp Coronado Hospital. However, he had to be transported to a local trauma center for surgery for life-threatening injuries.

    Police report the unidentified victim is now in stable condition following surgery.

    Investigating officers say they do not currently have a suspect description as the fight involved a large group of people.
