    Bronston man, 20, reportedly found with meth, marijuana, and AR-15 in vehicle

    SOMERSET, Ky. ( FOX 56 ) — A Pulaski County man has been arrested after reportedly being found with guns and drugs in his vehicle during a traffic stop on Tuesday.

    The Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office said that at 5:53 p.m. on Antioch Lane, they attempted to pull over a vehicle for a perceived equipment violation. Before the stop was made, deputies said a baggie containing a white substance was thrown from the vehicle.

    After locating the substance, suspected to be methamphetamines, deputies said they searched the vehicle after noticing the smell of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. Around 40 grams of meth were said to have been found inside the vehicle, along with 38.5 grams of marijuana, a 10-millimeter handgun and an AR-15.

    After further investigation, deputies learned that the meth and the AR-15 reportedly belonged to 20-year-old Tony Collins.

    He was then charged with :

    • First-degree trafficking in a controlled substance
    • Trafficking in marijuana
    • Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon
    • Possession of a handgun by a convicted felon

    Collins was booked into the Pulaski County Detention Center and is due to appear in court at 11 a.m. on Aug. 19.
