KSP investigating: Pikeville man killed in Sidney shooting

SIDNEY, Ky. ( FOX 56 ) — A shooting investigation by Kentucky State Police (KSP) is underway in Pike County after a deadly shooting on Wednesday.

KSP said in a news release that the Pikeville Post responded to a call on Wednesday for a shooting at a home on North Big Creek Road in the Sidney community of Pike County.

The initial investigation showed that 41-year-old William Chaney of Pikeville had been killed by gunshot wounds. Chaney was pronounced dead at the scene by the Pike County Coroner’s Office.

Authorities said the investigation will be presented to the Pike County Grand Jury to consider a potential indictment.
