Police said that after the cash was handed over, Rodriguez fled the scene in a black SUV.

Officers received a call stating that Rodriguez had come home with a large amount of cash and told the caller he’d done “something stupid,” per court documents.

An arrest citation reveals that Rodriguez allegedly told the officers he’d gotten into a fight with his grandmother before leaving for the Dollar General, pulling a knife on the cashier, and heading home with the cash.
