Tua Tagovailoa Looks Soft After Sucker Punching Brian Flores

Watch Ben Maller of Fox Sports Radio’s The Ben Maller Show call out Tua Tagovailoa for being ‘soft’ after the melodramatic Miami Dolphins quarterback went scorched earth on his former head coach Brian Flores for going too hard on him during Tagovailoa’s first two NFL seasons in 2020 and 2021 before Flores' eventual firing.

Ben Maller: “Whatever Brian Flores said in those meetings to Tua Tagovailoa is never going to die in the head of Tua Tagovailoa. What a traumatic event whatever this was for Tua!!... For him to go public it doesn’t make him look all that good. It doesn’t make Tua look like the good guy in this, and he violated the standard decorum of the NFL. The standard decorum of the NFL is normally you never give a straight answer, even when you hate someone. You use diplomacy or mix in a word salad with extra veggies and Thousand Island dressing. Everyone knows it. Not Tua. Tua went scorched earth. Not only does he get kudos for praising his current coach Mike McDaniel, but he delivered that sucker punch to the solar plexus of his former coach. It’s been several years since he departed Miami, and it still stings like a nest of hornets just attacked Tua Tagovailoa.

It’s fair to say that Brian Flores was not a player's coach and that they did not see eye-to-eye and vice versa. It doesn’t present Tua in the greatest light that he’s announcing to the world he’s a softy. Tua wants to be massaged, wants a nice shoulder rub, and wants the mani and the pedi rather than be told that he’s garbage. Tua is driving the Mister Softee truck. This is a guy who was exposed in cold weather by the elements in Kansas City, can’t handle adversity, and Brian Flores was trying to toughen him up. Tagovailoa would like to hear disingenuous and insincere phony bologna.”
