Woman killed in crash between car and Greeley bus

DENVER ( KDVR ) — A 59-year-old woman died following a crash with a Greeley-Evans bus on Friday.

The Greeley Police Department said the crash happened between the bus and a sedan at the intersection of 71st Avenue and 4th Street at around 5:30 p.m.

According to police, the 18-year-old female driver of the sedan and her passenger, the 59-year-old woman, were taken to a local hospital. The passenger died shortly after arriving and the 18-year-old was treated and released.

The bus driver and the single passenger on board were not injured in the crash.

The Greeley Police Department Traffic Unit is now taking over the investigation. Police have not said what factors may have led to the crash.
