Police investigate shots-fired call at Denver’s Castro building on Federal

DENVER (KDVR) — Denver police were responding to a report of gunfire on Friday afternoon at the Richard T. Castro Building.

Police posted at 3:23 p.m. that officers were “in the area investigating a report of shots heard.” The department said there were no injuries reported at the time.

The building is in the 1200 block of Federal Boulevard, south of Colfax Avenue and Rude Park. It houses Denver Human Services.

FOX31 arrived on the scene around 4 p.m. and did not find a police scene. No further information was immediately released on Friday evening.
