Doug Emhoff to visit Colorado for fundraiser

DENVER (KDVR) — Second gentleman Doug Emhoff is heading to Colorado for a political fundraiser for Vice President Kamala Harris’ presidential campaign.

This is the second time in August that a presidential fundraising event has taken place in Aspen.

Earlier this month, former president and Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump held a sold-out fundraising dinner in the ski town . Tickets to that event started at $25,000 per couple.

Democratic vice presidential candidate Tim Walz also visited Denver on Aug. 14 for a private fundraiser . There were reportedly 150 people in attendance with tickets ranging from $1,000 to $5,000.

Emhoff’s event will take place on Friday, Aug. 30. Tickets will not be as expensive as the two previous events in the state, with the lowest contribution at $500 and the highest at $25,000.

The event host is Alexa Wesner, the former U.S. ambassador to Austria from 2013-17.
