Denver weather: More sunshine, warming up ahead of holiday weekend

DENVER ( KDVR ) — Mainly sunny skies are back for most of Colorado on Friday with just above-average highs in the upper 80s in the Denver weather forecast.

Weather today: Lots of sunshine

The Front Range will see plenty of sunshine Friday with a few clouds in the afternoon for the southern mountains.

High temperatures will make it into the upper 80s. Winds will increase through the late afternoon, as well.

Weather tonight: Clear skies

The brisk wind will slow after sunset as the skies stay clear Friday night. Overnight lows will be close to seasonal averages in the upper 50s.

Looking ahead: Dry and warmer

The holiday weekend looks to be dry but a bit warmer. Highs on Saturday will top out around the 90-degree mark with mostly sunny skies.

Sunday is a few degrees warmer with a few extra clouds and a breezy wind that lingers overnight.

Labor Day is back to the 90-degree mark with a mix of sun and clouds.

Tuesday keeps the low 90s in the forecast with more sunshine through the afternoon. Wednesday is partly cloudy with warm highs in the upper 80s and a small chance for a storm. The middle 80s are back for next Thursday as Denver continues to have a mix of sun and clouds.
