    Search continues after police find car, phone of missing 23-year-old

    KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Kansas City Police Department is searching for a missing 23-year-old man last seen on Sunday, Aug. 11 near a Walmart Supercenter in Independence, Mo.

    According to KCPD, Breyden Hensley disappeared from the area of 11601 E. 40 Highway at about 6 p.m. on Sunday. Police said his car was later found near the intersection of West 33rd Street and Southwest Trafficway in midtown Kansas City, almost 12 miles away.

    Inside the car, KCPD officers found Hensley’s phone, keys and other personal items. He hasn’t been seen or heard from since.

    Police said he is known to frequent areas around Independence Avenue and parts of Grandview, Mo.

    In the description provided by KCPD, Hensley is said to be a white man with brown hair and brown eyes. He is described as weighing 115 pounds and standing at 6-foot-2-inches tall.

    Hensley’s friends and family are concerned for his safety and well-being.
