KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Wyandotte County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after they say a man was shot and killed at a park on Thursday night.

They found the victim, identified as 42-year-old Howard Nichols, wounded in critical condition. He was taken to a hospital but died from his injuries.

The sheriff’s office didn’t provide any information about a potential suspect, but if you saw or heard anything, or know anything that will help lead to an arrest, call the Crime Stoppers TIPS Hotline at (816) 474-TIPS.
