Missing 23-year-old KC man found dead near 29th & Summit

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A 23-year-old man who has been missing since August 11 was found dead in Kansas City, Missouri on Sunday.

Breyden Hensley was last seen at a Walmart Supercenter in Independence. He disappeared from the area of 11601 E. 40 Highway around 6 p.m. on August 11.

Police said his car was later found near the intersection of West 33rd Street and Southwest Trafficway in Midtown Kansas City, almost 12 miles away.

KCPD officers found Hensley’s phone, keys and other personal items inside his car.

Officers located Hensley’s body near 29th and Summit on Sunday evening. The cause of death is currently unknown.

According to KCPD, there appear to be no signs of foul play. His death is still under investigation.
