Mountain Dew will pay you to move to the Mountain Time Zone

GOODLAND, Kan. (KSNW) — Mountain Dew has launched a new advertising campaign, including a free giveaway and helping up to five people move to the Mountain Time Zone.

The company is introducing a new brand character, “ The Mountain Dude ,” with the slogan calling the Mountain Time Zone the “Official” time zone of Mountain Dew. As part of the campaign, they are giving away free soda and encouraging people to move.

You can visi t WelcometoMtnTime.com before traveling into the mountain zone. Then, return to the website once you enter the time zone to receive a voucher for a free Mountain Dew.

It works through a process called Geofencing . It’s a technology that’s been in use since the 1990s .

Mountain Dew also offers to reimburse up to five people for their moving expenses if they move anywhere into the Mountain Time Zone, up to $10,000 in a contest called “Mountain Dew Hauls.” In addition, the winners will receive free Mountain Dew for a year and a Mountain Dew Outdoor Gear welcome package to enjoy the great outdoors in their new location.

You can move anywhere in the Mountain Time Zone, which includes Colorado, Montana, New Mexico, Utah, Wyoming, Arizona, Idaho, Oregon, Nevada, Western Nebraska, Western North Dakota, Western South Dakota, a portion of far West Texas that includes El Paso, and of course, the Kansas counties of Greeley, Hamilton, Sherman, and Wallace.

To enter the “Mountain Dew Hauls” contest, you need to create a TikTok video introducing yourself, explaining why you want to move to the Mountain Time Zone, and explaining how you plan to enjoy the outdoors once you are there. You will also need to include the hashtags MountainDewHauls and #contest.

The free Mountain Dew giveaway and Mountain Dew Hauls contest runs now through Dec. 31.
